Yet, for now, only a few parts of the Roomate agreement between Sheldon and Leonard are known. To give you all an overview of the details of the colocation agreement currently known, we have taken the trouble to assemble them here. The colocation agreement was in effect for most of the show; Since Sheldon moved into Penny`s old apartment with Amy, the contract is no longer in effect. Sheldon`s obsession with controlling takeaway choices is well known, but the clauses on trying a new place to eat border on total madness. According to the agreement, “choosing a new takeaway restaurant requires a public hearing and a 60-day comment period.” In other words, when a new interesting place appears, ordering dinner at their home means two months of paperwork. which just isn`t worth it (not to mention the fact that coupons expire or even the place can be closed!). Having a regular place is one thing, but ordering to eat should be a pleasure, which means space for a little spontaneity. While some clauses in the colocation agreement were a bit far-fetched, some were not necessary at all. A clause on what we would see, for example, on Friday evening is absolutely not necessary. In Season 3, Sheldon mentions that the Roommate Agreement states that Friday nights were reserved for Firefly`s reputation.
The clause was written into the agreement assuming the show would last for years. Here are 10 rules of Sheldon`s roommate deal that everyone should follow: This harmless clause actually means leonard is responsible for doing everything for Sheldon when it comes to a car. Drive him to work (and back). Drive him to dental appointments. He takes him to the railway store, the comic book store and mainly plays the role of personal driver. It doesn`t seem to bother Leonard, but it`s definitely something that goes beyond what any normal roommate (or friend!) should do. In the 3rd season episode, “The Staircase Implementation”, it is revealed that Leonard has agreed to a coitus clause in the roommate agreement. According to the clause, the two roommates had to rush at least 12 hours in advance before starting sexual activities in the apartment.
